Dahlias and Design

September 8, 2019

Join us for a special afternoon discussing ( and creating ) composition and color curation in florals and photos

*Amy , owner and grower at Dahlia Shed farm guides us through rows upon rows of over 65 varieties of dahlias on her farm, all while sharing information on growing and harvesting.

*Erin , local photographer will guide attendees through the dahlia fields, showing her tips and tricks for capturing inspiring compositions and color. Afterward, Erin will show how she approaches capturing floral designers at work and their finished pieces. As a bonus treat, she will photograph each attendee's piece for their portfolio at the end of the event.

*Kim , florist and gardener from Greenlion shows you how to use fresh cut dahlias and garden cuts to make your very own floral creation. Kim will talk color curation, tips for getting unique shape in your design and how to integrate fresh cuts from your gardens. All flowers and foliage will be 100% local and grown by Dahlia Shed and Greenlion.

Last year we had SO much fun, we are excited to have our second annual event!
